Simple Car Log is designed with privacy as the top priority. We do not collect any personal data from you. All your vehicle records (refuels, maintenance, expenses, etc.) stays completely on your device and in your personal iCloud account (if you enable iCloud sync).
Optional VIN Lookup Feature: If you choose to purchase OEM vehicle data, your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is transmitted to our CloudFlare Worker proxy and then to vehicledatabases.com to retrieve manufacturer information. This is the only data that leaves your device to external services, and only when you explicitly choose to use this paid feature. We do not maintain servers that store your vehicle tracking data.
All your vehicle data is stored exclusively on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud account. We have no access to your data, and we do not maintain any servers that store user information. If you delete the app without backing up your data to iCloud, your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your vehicle and expense data is yours alone.

Footage Reviewer is a Windows desktop application for reviewing recorded footage: multi-track audio playback, on-device AI transcription, and timestamped notes. It is designed to run 100% locally. Your footage, audio, transcripts, and notes never leave your machine.
The Footage Reviewer app does not collect any personal data. It has no accounts, no cloud services, no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry. We do not operate servers that receive, store, or process any of your content or usage information.
The only personal information we ever hold is the email address and phone number you provide if you purchase a license key through our website (see Purchases and Licensing below). The app itself never collects or transmits anything.

Speech-to-text transcription runs entirely on your own hardware using whisper.cpp (locally, on your GPU or CPU). Audio is never uploaded anywhere for transcription.
On first use, the app offers to download the tools it needs. These downloads happen only when you explicitly request them, directly from official sources:
These are standard file downloads; the app sends no personal information with them. Each download is subject to the privacy practices of the hosting service (GitHub, Hugging Face, Microsoft).
Purchases of the full version through the Microsoft Store are processed entirely by Microsoft; we do not receive or store your payment information.
Website license purchases: If you purchase a license key through our website, we store the email address and phone number you provide at purchase. This information is used solely to issue and track license keys (for example, to re-send a lost key or verify ownership during activation). We do not share or sell this information.
License key activation is verified locally on your device. The app does not contact an activation server, and your email and phone number are not transmitted during activation.
We do not sell, trade, or share any information with third parties. There is nothing to share; your data stays on your device.
