Consulting Services Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

When you engage our consulting services, we may collect:

We maintain strict confidentiality agreements with all clients. Your business information, strategies, and proprietary data are protected under non-disclosure agreements and never shared with third parties without explicit permission.

Data Retention

We retain client information for no more than six months after project completion, unless additional time is required for legal or business purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Payment Processing

All payments for consulting services are handled through third-party payment providers or via ACH transfer. We do not store your credit card information or banking details on our servers. Payment processing is subject to the privacy policies and security measures of the respective payment providers.

Simple Car Log Privacy Policy

Data Collection

Simple Car Log is designed with privacy as the top priority. We do not collect any personal data from you. All your vehicle records (refuels, maintenance, expenses, etc.) stays completely on your device and in your personal iCloud account (if you enable iCloud sync).

Optional VIN Lookup Feature: If you choose to purchase OEM vehicle data, your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is transmitted to our CloudFlare Worker proxy and then to vehicledatabases.com to retrieve manufacturer information. This is the only data that leaves your device to external services, and only when you explicitly choose to use this paid feature. We do not maintain servers that store your vehicle tracking data.

Data Storage

All your vehicle data is stored exclusively on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud account. We have no access to your data, and we do not maintain any servers that store user information. If you delete the app without backing up your data to iCloud, your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your vehicle and expense data is yours alone.

Third-Party Services

Simple Car Log uses the following services:

  • Apple iCloud (Optional): Data synchronization (controlled entirely by you in iOS Settings)
  • VIN Lookup Service (Optional): When you choose to purchase OEM vehicle data, your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is sent to our secure CloudFlare Worker proxy, which then queries vehicledatabases.com (API provider) to retrieve manufacturer specifications, warranty information, recalls, maintenance schedules, and owner's manuals. This is an optional paid feature that you must explicitly activate. (Data retrieved varies by VIN)
  • CloudFlare Workers (Optional - Part of VIN Lookup): Acts as a secure intermediary for VIN lookups, implementing rate limiting and caching to protect your privacy and reduce unnecessary data requests. Your VIN data is cached for 48 hours to improve performance and minimize external API calls.
  • No analytics, no tracking, no advertising services

Data Security

Your vehicle and expense data never leaves your device or personal iCloud account. Security is managed by Apple's native iOS and iCloud security systems.

For the optional VIN lookup feature, we implement multiple security measures:

  • Encrypted Communication: All data transmitted to our CloudFlare Worker proxy uses HTTPS encryption
  • No Data Storage: VIN lookup results are cached for 48 hours only to improve performance and minimize external API calls, then automatically deleted

Payment Processing

All purchases are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple and is subject to Apple's privacy policy and terms of service. Purchase records are stored locally on your device and included in your backup data.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data. You can:

  • Export your data at any time through the app, including purchased OEM vehicle data
  • Delete your data from the app at any time
  • Enable or disable iCloud synchronization in iOS Settings
  • Choose whether to use the optional VIN lookup feature
